Telgian Engineering & Consulting, LLC (TEC) recently announced the addition of Elizabeth Schoonman as Strategic Account Manager. In this position, Schoonman will be responsible for implementing business development initiatives, while building strategic customer relationships. She will focus on partnering with clients to provide fire protection and life safety engineering, design and consulting solutions for an array of business sectors including multi-family housing, warehousing and distribution, retail, government and commercial properties.
“With more than 19 years of experience, Elizabeth possesses a comprehensive understanding of detection and suppression systems and the code/market drivers which directly impact multiple occupancy types,” says TEC Executive Vice President, Business Development Steve Goyette. “Her ability to consistently recognize and anticipate customer needs, as well as identify viable solutions makes her an exceptional addition to the team.”
Previously a Business Development Manager, Americas at Johnson Controls International, Schoonman integrated US and Canadian teams to construct US growth plans for company products. She also expanded the US dealer network by contracting additional qualified partners, grew brand awareness throughout the US, and increased sales within the company’s existing customer base by expanding access to additional product lines
Active within the industry Schoonman is a member of multiple organizations including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA), Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and Center for Campus Fire Safety Campus Alliance, among others.
