In this position, Loo will be responsible for the implementation of innovative security solutions and strategies.

With more than 15 years of experience, Loo specializes in both military and private sector security for tactical and strategic functions. His expertise includes security requirement analysis, conceptual design, construction documents, security contractor evaluations, field services, and coordination and project management of security projects.

He has provided security consulting, management, and design services for corporate, industrial, educational, governmental, and private facilities, including residential and landmark establishments. Loo’s background also includes travel security, workplace violence, violence in education, active shooter, security-risk and threat assessments, event security, and executive protection.

Prior to joining TEC, Loo was a Principal Consultant at Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc., where he provided enterprise security risk management for the design, direction, development, and procurement of security systems and countermeasures. His experience also included physical security evaluations and surveys within the restaurant, lodging, and hospitality industries, and the hiring of security personnel. Additionally, he provided expert testimony on security-related issues.

Loo is U.S. Department of State – Worldwide Protective Services (WPS) certified and has received his Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS International. In addition, he has certifications in Business Continuity Management – ISO 22301:2012, Information Security Management – ISO 27001:2013, and Data Privacy and Information Security Management System – ISO 27701.

Loo earned a BA in Political Science/International Relations and National Security Studies from the University of Houston and his MS in Security Studies/Intelligence and Analysis from Angelo State University. He is a member of the ASIS International, The Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, Hospitality Lawyer, and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
