Understanding 5-Year Sprinkler Inspections and Pipe Corrosion WebinarTelgian Engineering & Consulting (TEC) fire protection expert Tracey Bellamy, PE, FSFPE, CFPS, CWBSP will present a Fire Smarts “Understanding 5-Year Sprinkler Inspections and Pipe Corrosion” Webinar on April 11, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm ET.

This course provides an in-depth look at the NFPA 25 requirements for 5-year fire sprinkler inspection, testing and maintenance activities. Specific emphasis will be given to the required internal piping assessment and how this is different from other requirements when an internal obstruction inspection is needed. Bellamy will discuss the scope of work required for conducting a piping assessment and obstruction investigation, as well as the typical methods for completing these tasks.

At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to explain the difference between an internal piping assessment and an obstruction investigation and recognize the various triggers that mandate conducting an obstruction investigation. In addition, attendees will learn the minimum number of specific locations required for conducting an internal assessment of the piping.

About the Instructor

Tracey Bellamy, PE, FSFPE, CFPS, CWBSP has more than 30 years of experience in the fire protection industry and currently serves as Chief Engineering Officer for Telgian Engineering & Consulting, LLC (TEC).

Bellamy is active at the highest levels of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and is a member of the NFPA Standards Council. He also represents Telgian on a number of NFPA technical committees including NFPA 1, 11, 13, 15, 25, 30, 30B, 101 and 5000. In addition, he is a certified instructor with NFPA and teaches nationally and internationally on a variety of fire protection topics.

As a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Bellamy currently sits on the Board of Governors of the Greater Atlanta Chapter. He is also an SFPE Fellow, which is the highest professional honor bestowed by SFPE to professionals who have achieved significant accomplishments within the fire protection industry.
