Telgian Engineering & Consulting (TEC) fire protection expert Ralph E. Bless, Jr., PE, CFPS, SET will present a Fire Smarts “NFPA 25 Fire Sprinkler Inspection and Testing Procedures” Webinar on March 14, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm ET.
This course discusses the fire sprinkler inspection and testing procedures required by NFPA 25 Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems including main drains, water flow indicators and valve tamper switches. These procedures are a great guide to understanding what inspectors are doing for these tests and to creating quality control methods that ensure the tests are completed as mandated by the standard.
Participants will learn to identify and apply testing procedures that will help ensure that fire sprinkler systems function properly and assist in limiting liability through having consistent fire sprinkler inspections and testing procedures.
At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be familiar with the purpose and scope of the NFPA 25 standard, as well as the roles and responsibilities of each relevant stakeholder including the building owner, AHJ and contractor/inspector. They will also be able to define the testing procedures for main drains, water flow indicators and valve tamper switches.
