Telgian’s Executive Chairman Russell B. Leavitt will present the Fire Smarts “Stakeholder Responsibilities for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems” webinar on January 16, 2020 from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm Eastern (including Q&A time). This webinar will provide an understanding of why the roles of each stakeholder are critical to a fire and life safety program.
The webinar will also review the roles and responsibilities of the property owner, AHJ, and service provider, as spelled out in the NFPA inspection, testing, and maintenance standards. In addition, a detailed review of the property owner’s responsibilities will be discussed, along with the interaction of the AHJ and service provider.
This presentation will benefit building and facility managers, fire department enforcers, and contractors.

About Russell Leavitt
With over 38 years of experience, Leavitt is uniquely qualified to present the Stakeholder Responsibilities for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems webinar. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for NFPA, he is the organization’s 2nd-Vice Chair. He is also the Chair of the NFPA 13 Technical Committee for Fire Sprinkler System Discharge Criteria, a Principal Member of the NFPA Technical Committee for Installation and a Principal Member of NFPA 3, 4, and 25.
Leavitt conducts training seminars and webinars both nationally and internationally on a variety of fire and life safety related subjects. He has also authored numerous industry articles and training materials including the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) Beginning Inspector Training Program and the AFSA Online Hydraulics Training Program. As well, Leavitt is a major contributor to several NFPA Handbooks and has served as the subject matter expert for numerous NFPA live and online training programs.
