A NFPA 25 Compliance Webinar entitled “NFPA 25 Compliance – Need Not to Break the Bank” will be led by Telgian’s Executive Chair man and fire protection expert Russell Leavitt. The event is slated for March 8 and will be conducted 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm (Central Time).With over 38 years of experience, Leavitt is uniquely qualified to present the NFPA 25 Compliance – Need Not to Break the Bank webinar. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for NFPA, he is also the Chair of the NFPA 13 Technical Committee for Fire Sprinkler System Discharge Criteria and a Principal Member of the NFPA Technical Committee for Installation, as well as a Principal Member of NFPA 3, 4, and 25.
Leavitt conducts training classes, seminars and webinars both nationally and internationally on a wide variety of fire and life safety related subjects. He has also authored numerous industry articles and training materials including the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) Beginning Inspector Training Program and the AFSA Online Hydraulics Training Program.
According to Leavitt, with the slowing economy, there has been a marked increased in jurisdictional enforcement of fire and alarm system maintenance. Many jurisdictions have adopted some level of mandatory reporting that often leaves little choice between making corrections or facing fines or losing use of the facility.
