Telgian’s Tom Parrish to present NFPA 72 at SFPE Michigan ChapterOn Tuesday, September 17, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) Michigan Chapter will host fire, life safety, and security expert Tom Parrish at Burton Manor in Livonia where he will present NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code communications methods. The training event will run from 7:00 AM until 9:30 AM.

NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code is a document which provides the latest safety provisions to meet society’s rapidly changing fire detection, emergency communications, and signaling challenges. In addition to the core focus on fire alarm systems, the Code includes requirements for mass notification systems such as those used for weather emergencies, terrorist events, biological, chemical, and nuclear emergencies, as well as other disasters or threats.

Parrish is uniquely qualified to present NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. As Vice President of Telgian Corporation, a worldwide fire, life safety, and security firm, he has more than 25 years of experience in fire protection and emergency response. Parrish has held numerous positions with municipal fire, law enforcement, and emergency medical services, as well as in private industry emergency system design and installation programs.

In addition to groups within the US, he has also presented NFPA 72 around the globe, most recently to the Fire & Security Association of India, Gujarat Chapter.
