This overview of the requirements for fire and life safety is based on NFPA 101, Life Safety Code. As an accomplished speaker, she conducts presentations and seminars across the country on a wide variety of fire protection topics. Recent examples include seminars conducted at the SFPE Greater Atlanta Fire Safety Conference in Atlanta, Georgia and Fire Protection and Life Safety Forum in Columbus, Ohio. Reno also shares her expertise as an author with fire protection industry publications in useful articles such as “Fire Safety Considerations for Facilities” in Facility Safety Management, among others.

She also plays an integral role in industry codes and standards development. Reno’s code development committee experience includes Principle Member, NFPA 99 – Fundamentals Committee; NFPA 99 – Healthcare Emergency Management and Security; and Alternate, NFPA 101 & 5000 – Board and Care Facilities.
