In November, members of the Telgian team worked with Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors and other volunteers on a project with particular significance to the Telgian family – a new home for Army Ranger Sgt. First Class Cory Remsburg, son of Telgian executive Craig Remsburg. Cory, who was first introduced to the nation during President Obama’s 2014 State of the Union address, was very seriously wounded by an improvised explosive device while serving his tenth deployment in Afghanistan.
On July 11, 2014, Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors hosted a remodel commencement ceremony and broke ground on a new home for Cory, designed for his special needs. The Telgian team supported the project with a donation of the manpower and plans for a residential fire sprinkler system for Cory’s new home and worked with Victaulic to secure donation of sprinkler heads and additional volunteer manpower for the installation. The installation was completed on Veterans Day 2014. Read more at FPC / Fire Protection Contractor magazine.
