Giving back is a cornerstone of the Telgian culture. Our company and its team members contribute hundreds of volunteer hours and generous donations each year to the communities where we live and work. In June, we participated in a Back to School Supply Drive. Partnering with the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation Telgian Fire Safety purchased 100 backpacks and associates filled them with back to school essentials for 100 1st-5th graders in need.
In 2018, Arizona Friends of Foster Children granted more than $1,500,000 in awards for kids in foster care to participate in every day, ordinary activities that constitute childhood, as well as post-secondary scholarships. Many times foster children arrive come with little more than the clothes on their back or what they can carry in a trash bag. Some have have never ridden a bicycle or sat down for a family meal. They may be struggling to keep up in school or never dared dream of playing a sport. The Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation promotes the self-esteem and enriches the lives of Arizona’s children in foster care by funding social, athletic and educational activities and items that provide them with quality experiences while they live through very difficult circumstances.
