Fire protection, life safety, and security industry leader Telgian recently announced the recipients of the company’s Top Gun Awards. The awards were presented at the company’s Annual Meeting and traditionally recognize the year’s top performing business development associates. This year, for the first time, the company also recognized top associates within operations.

In the category of Business Development, Steve Goyette and Drew Gerard were recognized.
Steve Goyette has over 35 years of experience in fire protection design and consulting. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), as well as Level III NICET certified in Automatic Sprinkler System Layout. Dedicated to the industry, Goyette plays an active leadership role within several important fire and life safety organizations. He is a member of the NFPA 915 Technical Committee on Remote Inspections, as well as the NFPA 232 Technical Committee on the Standard for Protection of Records. In addition, he is the Co-Chair of the ConnexFM Retail Council and a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) San Diego Chapter. In 2023, Goyette was promoted to Executive Vice President, Business Development at Telgian Engineering & Consulting.
Drew Gerard is the Vice President, West of Telgian Engineering & Consulting and has more the 15 years of industry experience in fire protection, life safety consulting and design. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in 25 US states and territories. In addition, he is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist and has US Department of Homeland Security, CVI Certification. His professional affiliations include the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), as well as National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), where he is an alternate on the Technical Committee for NFPA 30: Flammable / Combustible Liquids Standard: Committee on Storage and Warehousing of Containers and Portable Tanks.
In the operations category the Top Gun winners included David Krimmer and Andrew Morland.
David Krimmer is a Senior Account Manager for Telgian Fire Safety with 21 years of experience, over 18 of them at Telgian. His expertise includes managing national inspections, testing and maintenance programs for fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire extinguishers, hood suppression, backflow preventers and special hazard systems for several of the largest and most recognizable retail companies in the United States. In addition to his strengths in customer communication, problem resolution, process implementation, data management and also has exceptional hands-on experience, having earned both fire sprinkler inspector certification and backflow tester certification.
Andrew Morland is an Assistant Regional Practice Leader at Telgian Engineering & Consulting and has more than 16 years of experience in fire protection. His experience includes the coordination and implementation of new building system designs; identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective measures; reviewing for compliance with applicable industry codes and standards; preparing fire protection specifications, permit level drawings, and hydraulic water flow analysis; and performing construction observation site visits.
