Fire, security, and life safety services provider Telgian Corporation today announced William E. Reiter II, CPP has joined Telgian Risk Solutions as Director of Security Operations. Telgian Risk Solutions is a full service global engineering and risk consultancy specializing in complex, multidiscipline public and private sector projects specific to the areas of security, risk analysis, health/life safety, emergency management and operations continuity.
Reiter has more than 30 years of security experience and will lead the delivery of security consulting services to Telgian customers in areas that include regulatory compliance, risk methodologies, policy development and mitigation/countermeasure development. In addition, he has demonstrated expertise in security legal issues and brings a depth of experience in handling hiring practice policies and procedures. Reiter has extensive experience in all aspects of security/risk/crisis management operations, including: strategic planning, program development and management, capital project design and installation, regulatory requirements and compliance, risk vulnerability analysis with effective countermeasures, staff selection and development, contract negotiations, investigations, training, and workplace violence programs.
Previously, Reiter served as the operations security senior executive with the E.I. duPont de Nemours and Company. In this role he was responsible for the development and implementation of all operations security policies, practices, procedures and strategies. As a senior decision maker, he was responsible for developing and implementing global security critical operating tasks, as well as in charge of the background check hiring process for employees and contractors. Reiter served as DuPont’s subject matter expert in pending-legislative activity with U.S. Senate staffers and principal negotiator with the Department of Homeland Security on all security regulatory requirements.

Reiter’s extensive professional licensures and certifications include: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Protection Specialist (CPS), Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CAS), Certified in Homeland Security (CHS—Level IV), Certified Security Supervisor (CSS), Certified Protection Officer—Instructor (CPO-I), and Certified Protection Officer (CPO).
He is a distinguished graduate of the Military Police Academy, College of Police Science, and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
