Fire and life safety services provider Telgian Corporation today announced that Tracey Bellamy, PE, chief engineer officer, will serve as a technical expert on the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety COE.
The Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety was established to address the fire and life safety and structural integrity concerns in the garment production industry in Bangladesh. A number of recent losses have focused attention on the facilities and the need for a common approach to safety. Bellamy is one of three expert consultants to be selected to serve on The Committee of Experts for a one-year term. He will assist with the creation and implementation of the Alliance Fire and Building Safety Standards and inspection process for factories in Bangladesh.

Bellamy has 25 years of field experience in fire protection plan review and system inspection, code development and analysis and fire hazard analysis. As chief engineer officer for Telgian Corporation, he oversees all engineering activities and establishes standards of performance for the fire protection engineering program. He also performs fire protection and life safety consulting services related to fire and building codes, national fire protection standards, and related issues. He is an experienced consultant for major retail construction projects and hazardous material storage facilities throughout the United States.
