Telgian recently announced that Tammy Mayo is the recipient of the 2021 Pat Ryan Team Spirit Award. The award is the most prestigious honor bestowed at Telgian each year and was created in memory of former Telgian associate Pat Ryan. This award recognizes the spirit of teamwork and it is presented annually to the Telgian Team Associate who best embodies Pat Ryan’s legendary example.
“It is a great honor to present the Pat Ryan Team Spirit Award,” says Telgian Executive Chairman Russell Leavitt. “And, no one better exemplifies the Telgian value of teamwork than Tammy. She truly cares about the success of her associates and her customers.”
Mayo, a Field Inspector II for Telgian Fire Safety, started with the company in 2015. Her teammates speak of her many accomplishments using phrases such as, “Tammy is the consummate team player,” “…her attitude is always positive, she works always to build team morale, and cares about everyone she works with” and “she helps others without asking for anything in return.” In addition to her outstanding work for Telgian, Mayo also serves our Nation diligently with pride and distinction in the U.S. Army Reserves.
“To be the recipient of the Pat Ryan Award is an amazing honor,” says Mayo. “I truly love my job at Telgian; we are a family. It’s been a trying year, working in the field during COVID-19. All of my fellow Field Inspectors have put a smile on every day while facing a pandemic, trying to find our new normal, and still complete required fire inspections. I would like to thank all of my co-workers, especially my fellow Field Inspectors and Field Support.”
Two other finalists were also recognized for their exceptional contributions to the company. These include Telgian Engineering and Consulting Project Assistant Supervisor Teresa Alvarado, Telgian Fire Safety Director of Repair Services Loraina Eldridge.
