Telgian Engineering & Consulting, LLC (TEC) recently announced the addition of Megan Asbrock, PE, MSFPE as Director, Business Development. In this position, Asbrock will be responsible for business development and sales, with a focus on fire, life safety, and security technologies, requirements, and trends. This includes solutions for a wide range of business sectors such as commercial, distribution, warehousing, industrial, and manufacturing, among others.

With over 20 years of experience executing safe, on-schedule, budgeted projects, including cost-management, safety training, detailed design, and regulatory compliance, Asbrock brings leadership and an exceptional track record to her role as Director, Business Development. Her expertise also includes engineering design, contract project management, and construction observation services for both fire protection and process engineering. Additionally, she specializes in high hazard fire protection / explosion protection and process design in the oil and gas, chemical, renewables, bulk storage, and manufacturing industries.
Prior to joining Telgian, Asbrock was the owner of and Senior Process Engineer for Specialized Hazard Services, LLC in Houston, TX and Cincinnati, OH where she focused on managing projects in various industries, following a project through from start to finish, designing suppression and detection/alarming systems, performing fire hazard analyses, developing electrical drawings, and performing on-site design reviews. Additionally, she acted as a liaison when working with Authority Having Jurisdictions (AHJ) and government officials.
An expert on federal, as well as state fire building and chemical codes and standards, Asbrock’s combined chemical and fire protection engineering background allows her to take a holistic, big-picture approach to projects. She not only understands the code requirements for chemical and fire protection but can also apply her expertise to mitigate the risks associated with each and produce high-value design solutions for clients.
Asbrock is a licensed professional engineer in chemical engineering and fire protection in Ohio and Texas. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Master of Science in Fire Protection degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
