During this webinar, Dotts provides an overview of CO detection requirements based on NFPA 72 ‘Standard for the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code.’ Common requirements for new and existing commercial structures will be covered, as well as a discussion on the initial acceptance testing requirements contained in the standards. Participants will learn how the building code and NFPA 72 requirements impact CO detection systems and the growing adoption and enforcement of these requirements.

Ray Dotts, Telgian Engineering & ConsultingAt the conclusion of the presentation, participants will understand the scope and purpose of how NFPA 720 was merged with NFPA 72, be able to explain both the format of NFPA 72 and the chapter layout and describe the inspection and testing requirements for CO detection systems. In addition, attendees will learn how to properly record and document all inspections, tests, and maintenance of CO detection systems.
