Campus Fire Safety Conference features Telgian

Telgian will exhibit at the upcoming 2018 Campus Fire Safety Conference, taking place in Columbus, OH, February 26-27 2018. The Campus Fire Safety Conference is devoted to reducing the loss of life and property from fire and accidents at campuses around the world by providing quality- cost effective; fire and life-safety training, education and resources. The purpose of this annual event is to provide education, technology and networking opportunities for campus fire safety and other related responsibilities.

Telgian experts will share their experience and knowledge in several educational sessions during the conference for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits for the state of Ohio:

Tom Parrish, SET, CFPS, PSP, Vice President of Telgian Integrated Systems will present an Overview of Fire Alarms, in addition to Using Fire Alarm Systems as Part of Your Arson Investigation. Parrish has more than 25 years of experience in fire protection and emergency response. He has held multiple positions with municipal fire, law enforcement and emergency medical services, as well as in private industry system design and installation programs.

Warren Burns, CFPS and Regional Practice Leader, Fire Protection Engineering & Consulting will present International Fire Code (IFC) Chapter 9 – Significant changes to the fire alarm section, as well as Applying the 3 E’s to Exiting.

Mark Chubb, CFO, CFPS, FiFireE, Senior Fire Protection Consultant will present In-Building Radio Systems, in addition to Stationary Fire Pumps 100- Installation and Maintenance Basics.

Russ Leavitt, SET, CFPS, Executive Chairman will present NFPA 25 Misunderstood, Misinterpreted, and Misapplied, as well as NFPA 25 and 72: Compliance Need Not Break the Bank. Leavitt offers 38+ years of experience in the fire protection industry. An experience instructor and presenter, Leavitt has also authored numerous articles and training guides, including the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) Beginning Inspector Training Program and the AFSA Online Hydraulics Training Program. In addition, he is a major contributor to several NFPA Handbooks and served as the subject matter expert for numerous NFPA live and online training programs.
