
Bellamy’s “Understanding the Obstruction Rules” session explores, in detail, the obstructions rules in Chapter 8 of NFPA 13, with special attention on the ambiguities which arise due to the current format of requirements.
Bellamy is uniquely qualified to present this material, and offers over 30 years of experience in the fire protection industry as a registered Professional Fire Protection and Civil Engineer. He is a certified instructor with NFPA and teaches nationally and internationally on “Understanding the Obstruction Rules,” as well as a variety of other fire protection topics. Bellamy is active within the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and sits on a number of NFPA technical committees including NFPA 11, 13, 15, 16, 25, 30, 30B, 101 and 5000.
