As President and CEO of Telgian Holdings, Inc., Tomes is responsible for the fire, life safety and security industry-leading company’s overall operational and financial success. In addition, he directs the execution of the company’s strategic plan and provides essential oversight for sales and marketing across all business units. Since joining the firm in 1990, he has held a succession of executive positions of increasing responsibility that include Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Chief Financial Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer.

Under his leadership, Telgian has established a sterling reputation, which includes an impressive record of accomplishment, built on the trust and confidence earned from many long-term clients. His passion for customer advocacy is evident in Telgian’s best-in-class protection solutions, which consistently save clients on their fire and life safety expenditures. Tomes specializes in tailoring fire protection, life safety and security solutions that meet clients’ needs and expectations, always with a focus on their bottom lines.

Tomes shares his experience and business expertise with numerous local, regional and national organizations. These include the Arizona Sustainability Alliance Board of Directors, Greater Phoenix Chamber Board of Directors, Arizona Bank & Trust Advisory Board, the Fireboat Fire Fighter Museum Board of Directors, the San Diego Military Advisory Council and the San Diego Naval Medical Center Surf Clinic, as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board, among others.

As a force for positive change within the fire protection and life safety industry, Tomes has also served on National Fire Protection Association global code development committees, such as NFPA 30 and NFPA 30B.

Tomes is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Business Economics and a focus in Corporate Finance.
