
During the course, Levitt will explore the scope and purpose of NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems. He will also review the major revisions made to the standard for the 2023 edition, including the latest information regarding updated definitions, remote inspection and testing of systems, testing of sprinklers, and the use of nitrogen in dry and preaction systems. Special emphasis will be placed on the new guidance for classifying conditions found while conducting inspections, tests, and maintenance.
Upon completion, attendees will be able to explain the scope and purpose of NFPA 25, and locate and identify major revisions to the 2023 edition of the standard. In addition, participants will be able to define deficiencies and impairments, as well as effectively use the guidance found Table A.3.3.8 for classifying conditions found while conducting ITM activities.
