Holiday Fire Safety TipsThe holiday rush is in full swing. And between the shopping, wrapping, baking and decorating, you may have forgotten one vital task – making sure that your home is fire safe.

According the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Christmas Day and Christmas Eve are among the leading days of the year for U.S. home fires. Causes include overly dry Christmas trees, unattended candles, and combustibles placed too close to the fireplace, as well as overloaded outlets and cooking fires. However, there are some simple fixes that every homeowner can tackle right now, to ensure that the holidays are happy and safe.
