Telgian Engineering & Consulting (TEC) fire protection expert Mike Willis will present a Fire Smarts “Fire Service Mains and their Appurtenances (NFPA 24)” Webinar on February 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm PT.
This 4-hour course is based on NFPA 24 Standard for the Installation of Private Fire Service Mains and their Appurtenances. This course examines the latest requirements and standards regarding the installation of underground water supply piping for fire protection sprinkler systems. Students will gain a detailed understanding of the system and its components, their requirements, and installation.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Mike Willis, CFPS
Michael Willis has over 18 years of fire protection experience, including portable, fixed and pre-engineered fire suppression, as well as a fire protection and safety engineering degree. He is a Regional Practice Leader with Telgian Engineering & Consulting and has served in multiple capacities, including as a technician, inspector, consultant, designer, and installer. Michael is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist. He holds multiple state licenses, NICET Certifications for fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems, and is in the process of completing his professional engineer licensure in fire protection engineering.
