Telgian’s Vice President, Account Management, Ralph Bless will conduct two days of NICET Test Preparation on February 9-10, 2021 (8:00 am – 5:00 pm Pacific). This 16-hour, online NICET Test Prep Course is offered through the Washington State Fire Marshal’s Office fire sprinkler training program and is presented by Fire Smarts.
This 2-Day NICET Test Prep Course is focused on preparing for the successful completion of the NICET examination requirements for NICET certification through Level II for the inspection and testing of water-based suppression systems. This seminar examines the understanding and use of NFPA 25: Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems.
In addition, basic inspector procedures and safety requirements will be reviewed. The seminar will utilize timed practice quizzes totaling 200 questions to give hands-on experience in using NFPA 25 under exam-like conditions. (Note: This course requires that students have the 2014 edition of NFPA 25, not included.)
Presenter Ralph E. Bless, Jr., PE, CFPS, SET is the Vice President, Account Management of fire protection engineering, safety, and security industry leader Telgian. Bless has more than 39 years of experience in fire protection, including a broad range of water-based and special hazard system design, code consulting, and fire protection engineering services.
In addition to several state and national certifications, Bless is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, a licensed Professional Engineer, and a Level IV NICET Senior Fire Sprinkler Layout Technician. He also holds a Level II in Inspections & Testing of Water Based Systems, a Level II in Fire Alarm Systems, a Level II in Special Hazards Systems Layout, and a Level I in Special Hazards Systems.
As a force for positive change in the industry, Bless chairs the NFPA 232, Technical Committee for Record Storage. In addition, he serves as a member of five other NFPA committees. These include NFPA 1, NFPA 13 Installation and Correlating, NFPA 15 and NFPA 915, the NFPA 15 Technical Committee for Water Spray Systems, NFPA 13 SSI (Installation), and the Correlating Committees.
