W02 Sprinkler Protection of Storage Occupancies

Telgian’s Executive Chairman Russell Leavitt will present W02 Sprinkler Protection of Storage Occupancies – Varied Design Approaches at the upcoming National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Conference. The event will be held on June 6-12 in Las Vegas.

During the presentation, Leavitt will review NFPA 13, which allows the fire sprinkler designer to use any applicable design approach when designing a sprinkler system. This session will also review the advantages of each approach based on the commodity and storage configuration as well as the requirements for the use of each type of sprinkler.

Leavitt is an industry leader in the fire, life safety and security space and holds a Level IV certification from NICET in Fire Sprinkler Layout and a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) designation. In addition, he is a Board Member and is the Chair of the NFPA 13 Sprinkler System Discharge Criteria Technical Committee. Leavitt also serves on the NFPA 13 Installation Committee, as well as NFPA 3, NFPA 4 and NFPA 25 Technical Committees.

In addition to the NFPA Conference presentation, Leavitt conducts fire and life safety seminars nationally and internationally on a variety of related subjects. He has also authored industry training materials and numerous articles including Fire Safety Codes and Standards: What You Need to Know, Understanding Fire Protection Classifications, and the International Fire Sprinkler Opportunity, among others.

In addition to the W02 Sprinkler Protection of Storage Occupancies – Varied Design Approaches presentation, the event will offer an Expo, which includes fire, life safety and security experts from Telgian (Booth #1063). Telgian professionals will be available to answer questions and provide information about the company’s extensive fire protection services, life safety engineering and consulting, and security solutions.
