Speaking at the International Code Council’s Seminar: March 20, 2013

This ½ day seminar will cover the Firestop provisions of the 2012 International Building Code (IBC) for plans examiners, inspectors, fire officials, architects and engineers. Focus will be on
understanding the requirements of sections 714 and 715 of the IBC. This program will cover joint systems, perimeter containment and through and membrane-penetrations in fire-resistive assemblies. We will discuss all of the firestopping significant changes of the 2012 IBC including the new ASTM firestop inspection standards that are starting to be required by many fire and building departments. This program will also provide helpful guidelines for plans examiners and inspectors for firestop systems.
