Wet Sprinklers

Inspections consist of a visual evaluation of accessible components – sprinkler heads, piping, valves, notification devices. Valves are exercised to verify operation and correct supervisory signals. A main drain test is done to verify residual and return static water pressure. Inspector’s test confirms proper function of the water flow switch. Alarm signals are verified upon completion.

Dry Sprinklers

A partial-trip test is performed annually and a full-trip test every three years. Our inspectors trip test each dry pipe valve, flush the main drain, clean and inspect the clapper rubber, and check the air and water supply pressures. Low points are drained and pipes are visually inspected. Alarm signals are verified upon completion.

Fire Alarm Systems

Fire alarm panel (FACP) is checked to verify that no pre-test problems exist. Power supply is assessed; initiating devices, including smoke detectors, duct detectors, and pull stations are tested and checked at the FACP for confirmation. Sprinkler system components are evaluated and basic operation of the fire pump is confirmed. Alarm signals are verified upon completion.

Fire Pump

Inspectors check for a clean room, free of flammable materials, and that equipment is in working order. A churn test is performed to ensure proper operation, at 100% and then at 150% of pump rating. Lastly, the pump is shut down, valves are drained, and batteries are tested.

Fire Extinguisher Inspections & Service

Our fire extinguisher inspection testing service and maintenance program handles scheduling, execution, verification, and invoicing. We provide 24/7/365 nationwide coverage though our vast network of Telgian contractors; ensuring you received the best service in the market.

Fire Sprinkler Installation Services

Proper installation of a fire sprinkler system is an important part of keeping a site on schedule – and your revenue stream on track. Our professional project management, quality control mechanisms and attention to detail ensure that both your timeline and budget are protected. Another critical factor in completion is interaction with the local jurisdiction. We have a solid reputation in the municipal community, allowing us to guide you smoothly through the jurisdictional maze that can stand between you and the timely opening of your facilities.

Fire Alarm Installation Services

Whether you are replacing alarm systems at existing locations or need a system for new construction, we can provide turnkey solutions to meet your needs and budget. All of our solutions are fully customizable to your current needs – so you never pay for things you don’t use. Our Materials Purchasing Program ensures that you receive the best price on equipment purchases and our installation capabilities extend across the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. We can help monitor your service provider more effectively and offer replacement or ‘as needed’ programs if you seek to break away from a proprietary system.

Firestop Installation Services

Construction and design teams work in concert with the firestop team to perform firestop system installations and remediation to the highest standards. We follow the jurisdictional requirements; ensuring clients’ receive the most professional firestop installations. All aspects of a firestop installation and/or remediation project, from pre-con to closeout, are a part of the plan.

Materials Purchasing

Our Materials Purchasing Program is a total materials and installation management solution for companies that construct large or multiple projects. It provides access to greater purchasing power, reducing costs on fire and life safety systems. The program gives you many ways to trim costs, including utilizing deep discounts for large block purchases of fire extinguishers and hood systems. We apply discounts on complete system material and installation packages for fire sprinkler, fire alarm, burglar, CCTV, sprinkler components, pumps, their accompanying alarm systems, and security systems. Additional savings are gained with elimination of multiple mark-ups on parts and installation fees that are typical of the usual contracting process.

Punch Walks

During construction, we inspect sprinkler system installation progress to confirm that systems are installed in accordance with plans and proper installation methods. This allows for early identification and correction of potential installation inadequacies. It also improves likelihood of acceptance by the jurisdiction at time of final inspection, reducing potential delays.

Our engineering team has top engineers and former code officials, providing breadth of vision and depth of knowledge to deliver first quality work from the start. Compliance reviews, especially when done early in the development process and in partnership with the Building and Fire Officials, provide the most cost-effective means to satisfy requirements and create a safe environment.

Our engineering process incorporates:

  • Design Methodology
  • Computer Modeling
  • Hazard Evaluation
  • Site Evaluation
  • Design Review
  • Hazardous Material Analysis
  • Commissioning, Acceptance Testing & System Completion Inspection
  • Firestop Engineering Judgment Review

Design Methodology

Our engineers tie together code requirements, test data, and computer modeling in order to create designs that reduce liability and provide the highest level of property protection. Our project engineer interfaces with all of your departments to ensure accurate costing and seamless installation.

Computer Modeling

We use current computer modeling techniques to assist in evaluating hazard development and system performance. To ensure you have the most effective fire suppression and detection systems, we utilize Timed Egress Modeling, Smoke Evacuation Modeling, Fire Detection Device Activation Time (sprinklers and smoke/heat detectors) and Compartment Fire Modeling.

Hazard Evaluation

We evaluate hazards for performance-based design using a range of criteria. In addition to the construction type and protection levels, our engineers evaluate building occupancy, building processes and local response capabilities. This approach generates comprehensive information of the building and its contents for designers to create accurate solutions.

Site Evaluation

We investigate and evaluate potential sites to ensure the infrastructure meets the fire protection needs. Water flow investigations establish the reliability and adequacy of the water supply, allowing for early preparation of a fire protection budget and helps determine if alternative solutions are needed in the event of water supply deficiencies.

Design Review

We help your team members identify issues in the concept phase of implementation. By performing due diligence discovery and working with local, state, and federal jurisdictions, we can determine occupancy and construction requirements, service utility issues, and required protection criteria.

Hazardous Material Analysis

We provide a complete analysis of materials used or stored at all facilities. Our chemical engineers, fire protection engineers, and hazardous material experts can work with you to ensure that storage, merchandising, or processes successfully and safely operate within prescribed guidelines.

Commissioning, Acceptance Testing & System Completion Inspection

When installation is complete, we inspect and test fire alarm, special hazard, and suppression systems to confirm that they are installed and operating correctly and providing required coverage. We note all items that need correction and provide a detailed description of the required action. This allows for final correction of identified deficiencies and reduces potential maintenance problems.
