Job Description: 

The Field Inspector 1 conducts compliance inspections and writes reports within jurisdictions requiring local test completion for licensure or where no licensing requirements exist. A Field Inspector 1 must remain in this level for a minimum of 18 months at which time NICET Certification shall be sought in preparation for advancement to Fire Inspector 2.

After training, a Field Inspector 1 must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must have the ability to successfully contend with several variables in inspection and testing situations. Will require excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, building and fire department officials, peer inspectors and management personnel.

Requirements:

Must have CT Sprinkler License.

Must be able to travel for a minimum of two weeks at a time.

Education: High School Diploma or GED
